Missguided haul

At the end of the year I will be going on holiday to Brazil, but of course as it is winter in England when I go; I am trying to get my holiday shopping done now. So the other night I ordered a few pieces from Missguided to wear on holiday and it is great because I can start wearing them during summer now.

The first thing I ordered was the "poranka bardot sweetheart crop top" for £4.99 in white. I love how it goes off the shoulders so it is slightly different from the average plain crop top. They sell the exact same crop top at Topshop for £10.00 so if you are thinking of buying it definitely check out the Missguided one first! I even think the Missguided one is slightly more flattering.

I also ordered the "candace scuba midi skirt" for £9.99 which matches the crop top. I think I am going to get it altered though because it is slightly too long on me but if I get a size smaller it will be too tight on my hips. I normally don't have a problem with being short but sometimes it can get annoying when I am trying to find dresses and skirts. Does anyone else have this short girl problem?

The next thing I ordered was the "nailina black eyelash lace bralet" for £14.99. Once again you can buy a top like this from Topshop but it's £22, so Missguided is the way to go for a bargain.

I'm really into lace detail at the moment so a lot of my recent purchases have been lace items of clothing. I recently bought a dress just like this bralet!

The next thing I got was the "neela baby pink tailored shorts with belt". I think they're really cute and their structure makes me feel that they're quite "smart" shorts. They were £17.99.

Here is the bralet and the shorts on me.

The next thing I got was a "petrine lemon lace detail boxy top" for £14.99. I'm not completely sure how I am going to style a lemon top or what bottoms to pair it with because of its "boxy" structure, but I liked it so I just went for it.

Of course I love the lace detail!

Next up was a "borislava floral open back playsuit" which was £19.99. I wanted some new playsuits because I only own one from Topshop and it is more of a night outfit. This one definitely has a tropical feel to it which makes me excited for my holiday, it will be perfect with a tan.

The other playsuit I got was the "nabia floral stroppy playsuit" for £17.99. This one has a softer look to it and the floral pattern makes me feel very feminine which I love.

The only fault I have for this playsuit is how it sits on my lower half, I am hoping it won't look the same when I'm walking around.

Lastly I purchased the "lotye mesh panel bodycon dress" for £19.99. I think mesh panels are really in at the moment and although this dress is reasonably plain I love it so much!

Missguided has definitely gotten more pricey over the years but it is still reasonably cheap! It is definitely worth looking at for items that you can get from more expensive high street shops e.g. Topshop and getting them for cheaper.

What do you guys all think of Missguided?

Some recent little purchases

I would just like to share some purchases I have recently made since I got some money from work experience I did in the last week.
The first thing I was on the look out for was white nail varnish which seems to be very in trend at the moment. It also seems that by wearing white nail varnish, whether on your fingernails or toenails, it gives off the illusion of slightly darker skin. Therefore as I got a spray tan for prom a little over a week ago, the white really brings out my tan more. I picked up this Essie nail varnish in "blanc" from boots for £7.99.

If solid white isn't your cup of tea a great alternative is the colour "fiji" also by Essie. It is also £7.99. It has a hint of pink in it but ultimately the colour on your nail is still on the white side, although in the bottle it looks much darker.

Here are "blanc" and "fiji" on my nails.

Fiji

The next thing I purchased from boots was the Bourjois healthy mix foundation in the colour "vanilla" which is number 52, for £9.99.

I have been using the Bourjois healthy mix serum for a little over a year now, you can find it at boots for £10.99. I love how lightweight it feels (the smell is also amazing so I'm hoping the foundation is the same) but due to my acne prone skin I feel like it does not give me enough coverage, so I am hoping the foundation will. I have the serum in the colour "light beige" which is number 53 but it was a tad too dark for me so hopefully now that I have got the foundation in 52, it will be just right. Would you guys like to see a comparison post between the foundation and the serum?

The next thing I got was a Sleek blush by 3 blush palette. It is called the "pink lemonade" palette. The 3 colours inside are called "icing sugar", "macaroon" and "pink mint". I picked up this palette from tesco for £8.99. So far I have used the colours "icing sugar" and "pink mint". To be completely honest I am new on the blush front because I have always been afraid of applying too much and walking around looking like a clown. Therefore my safest bet for this palette is "icing sugar" because it has a gold look to it and works well for a "sun kissed" look. Then comes "pink mint" which as you can tell by its name it is pink. I prefer to use this blush at night for a more glamorous look as its pigment is stronger. Unfortunately I haven't even plucked up the courage to try and use "macaroon" as it's a cream blush and I'm worried it will look like I've painted lines on my face! Does anyone have any tips for applying cream blush?

Macaroon

Pink mint
Lastly I purchased a pink cardigan from Zara. If you carry on reading my blog I'm sure you will soon discover my deep love for Zara!

I already own a pink cardigan but it's from Primark and it's beginning to show, so it was time that I got a new one. What attracted me especially to this one was the wonderful "lace-ish" pattern all over the back.

This cardigan originally retailed for £25.99 but I was lucky enough to get it in the sale for £12.99! So if you like it head on down to Zara quickly to snap it up before they're all gone.

That's all for now, thank you for reading.

Kiss me I'm Brazilian

Hello to everyone who is reading this post and thank you for taking the time to do so.
My name is Beatriz and I am a 15 year old girl (soon to be 16 in August) and this is my new blog. You can call me Bea. I have decided to start a blog about my general thoughts, things I am interested in and to talk about my beauty and fashion interests too. I am no fashion or makeup expert, this is just some fun for me and hopefully along the way I can make some new internet friends!
Now if you were wondering about my blog's name "Kiss me I'm Brazilian" I named it after my favourite O.P.I nail lacquer and I am also Brazilian. I live in England and was also born here so I guess in technical terms I am not but both of my parents are Brazilian and so are the rest of my family. I also speak Portuguese fluently, travel to Brazil every few years and I would say that at home I live my life as a Brazilian! I hope this mix of English and Brazilian culture helps to vary my blog in the future and makes it an interesting read for many people.
Here is "Kiss me I'm Brazilian":
